Starting this Friday (26th October, 2012), all Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) customers would have to sell out more for the same calls that are now charged for less in Roaming. BSNL has decided to revise and HIKE its prepaid roaming tariffs for its popular Per Second, Per Minute and General Prepaid Plan.
As of now BSNL charges flat 1.2p/sec in Roaming for Per Second customers, 59p/min for Per Minute customers and 60p or 80p for the General Plan customers. But from just few day now, all customers under the above mentioned plan would be charged regular Roaming Tariffs. For every call made to local network in Roaming, you would be charged Rs.1 per minute, for every incoming call also you would be charged Rs. 1 flat per minute. However making any STD Calls would cost you Rs. 1.5 per minute now.
Similarly sending any message in roaming would also cost you more as BSNL has revised the default roaming tariff to Rs. 1.5 per SMS. Here are the Full details:
These changes are applicable only from 26th October, 2012 and for Per Second Plan, Per Minute Plan and General Prepaid Plan only. You can still enjoy reduced Roaming Tariff by taking the BSNL Roam FREE Plan that offers Free Incoming in Roaming.
