Today is 23rd May and it seems 23rd is the lucky number for Xiaomi India as they have managed to sell around 250,000 units of its latest budget sensation, Redmi 4. On 23rd January, Xiaomi India managed to sell more than 250,000 of Redmi Note 4 and on 23rd March, they managed to sell more than 250,000 units of Redmi 4A. Interestingly, all these devices went on sale for the first time on these dates.
In today sale, Redmi 4 was sold out in just 8 minutes and as mentioned earlier 250,000 units were sold. Only the 2 GB with 16 GB internal storage version & 3 GB with 32 GB internal storage version were sold during today’s sale. The 4 GB with 64 GB internal storage will go on sale later in June this year. The next sale for 2GB+16GB & 3GB+32GB versions would be held on 30th May, 2017 at 12PM on Amazon.in.
Just to remind you, Redmi 4 comes with a 5 Inch HD Display with 2.5D curved glass at front, the fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear and to power it up, it has 1.4 Ghz Snapdragon 435 Octa Core processor under the hood with Adreno 505 graphics unit.
Redmi 4 has 3 internal storage options – 16GB, 32GB & 64GB and a hybrid Dual SIM card slot for memory expansion up to 128 GB. The Hybrid Dual SIM card slot allows you to either put a SIM card or memory card as per your choice. For connectivity it has, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS and yes it will support VoLTE on the Reliance Jio network.
For photography, the Redmi 4 comes with a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and dual LED flash. At the front, a 5MP camera will take care of your selfie’s. All the devices also has similar battery, a 4100 mAh battery for the juice and it will come loaded with MIUI 8 on Android M out of the box but user will have an option to switch to Android N Preview as well.
