Micromax had in March announced its plans to enter the Power Banks business by launching a range of Micromax Power Banks. Fast forward today, 2 Micromax power banks model are listed and available for purchase on Amazon.in however as per official Micromax website, there is 1 more version listed there having 15600 mAh capacity but it is still not available anywhere. The Micromax Power Banks that are available comes in 10400 mAh and 13000 mAh capacity.
All the 3 Power Banks are powered by LG Chem Cells and comes with a Stylish & ergonomic with rubber-finish. Also they have LED light Indicator for power level, Dual output USB 2.0 with on slot offering 1A charging and other 2.1A charging and they require 5V/2A input to charge.
Also there are 2 color options for all the power banks, Grey or Black and they all are certified by Bureau of Indian Standards. Dimension wise the 10400 mAh and 13000 mAh are exactly the same at 26 X 68 X 149 mm and also weighs the same at 260 gm. The bigger one 15600 mAh power bank is slightly bigger and heavier at 26 X 68 X 149 mm and 300 gm respectively.
Micromax’s Power Bank would get a tough fight from many of the home grown accessories makers like Syska whose power banks are available at much lower price as compared to Micromax’s power banks, 10000 mAh at Rs. 699 only and more. Also there are companies like Intex and Ambrane whose power banks are also quite popular among the users.
