MTNL brings Prepaid BlackBerry Plans for Mumbai

MTNL Delhi brings FTTH Unlimited Plan offering 10 Mbps Speed for Rs. 1290

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has brought a Promotional FTTH Broadband & IPTV Plan for its customers in Delhi circle.

MTNL’s FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) Broadband Plans starts from Rs. 590 with annual payment options also. The Rs. 590 plan offers 5GB of Data Download/Upload at 2Mbps, after 5GB you will get atleast 512Kbps Speed. The other Unlimited Plans offer Speed ranging from 4MBps to 10MBps. Some of the Existing Top Telecom Operators not to be a part of 4G Auctions

The Telecom Regulatory Body, TRAI wants Airtel & Vodafone among others existing Top Telecom Players in the country to be left out of the 4G Auctions. By doing this, TRAI feels that the industry would be much more balanced. How?

Well, 4G airwaves to be auctioned soon are in 700 Mhz band which is considered to be the most efficient and cost-effective for Data Services among others. The oldest Telecom Operators of the country viz Airtel, Vodafone & MTNL/BSNL and Idea offers Voice Service in 900 Mhz Band and Reliance GSM, Tata Docomo GSM, Uninor and other new Mobile Operators offer the same Voice Services in 1800 Mhz band. Telecom Department not happy with 3G Network Sharing Agreements made by Private Operators

The Department of Telecom is looking into the 3G Network Sharing Agreements made by the private operators to offer 3G Service on a nationwide basis without even having PAN India licence to do so.

The DoT has said that this type of pact is a clear MVNO wherein the Operators who do not have Licence and Spectrum to offer the service have launched 3G Services & Tariffs as well. (Continue Reading…)
