Tata Docomo GSM was the only operator left out of the 3G Tariff Wars started a few weeks ago. A few days ago we recieved a Press Update that 3G Data Packs are revised in Karnataka circle but on close scrutiny, we found that Tata Docomo has infact revised its 3G Data Packs in all its 3G circle.
Tata Docomo 3G services are available in 9 circles – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh (West). The revised 3G tariffs by Tata Docomo do not offer any surprises as they are the same as offered by other 3G operators, 1GB for about Rs. 250 and 2GB for about Rs. 450.
However, one interesting 3G Data Pack launched by Tata Docomo offers 1GB data in just Rs. 31. Dubbed as SmartLife 3G Plan, you have to recharge your Tata Docomo number twice to get 1GB 3G Data for amonth and talk time of Rs. 219 as well. First you have to recharge with Rs. 246 that would give you Rs. 219 talk time and within 48 hours of STV 246 recharge you need to recharge withh Rs. 4 that would give you 1GB 3G Data.
Please Note : Rs. 4 recharge would work only after you have done Rs. 246 recharge. Else you would end up getting just 4MB 3G Data.
