IFA 2012 : HTC makes Desire X official, Budget ICS smartphone with One Series tech & looks

HTC has finally announced the much leaked and speculated Android Ice Cream Sandwich loaded smart phone, the Desire X. In the past few days, we have had seen many leaks related to this product and today finally HTC announced it. HTC Desire X looks are inspired by the HTC One series smart phones and has few tech elements of it as well.

HTC Desire X features a 4 Inch WVGA Super LCD supporting 480 X 800 pixels resolution, Android Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense Topping, 1GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Play Dual Core Processor, 768MB, 4GB Internal Memory, MicroSD Card Slot (up to 32GB), 1650 mAh battery, 5MP Rear Camera with Auto-Focus & LED Flash and more.

HTC Desire X has the same Optical Lamination Technology that was used in HTC One X. With Desire X, HTC wants to bring the feel & look of the Flagship series, the One to more budget handset and markets.

Also HTC is offering 25GB of Dropbox Storage along with every unit of Desire X for two years, just like it has offered till now with every new handset launched.

Tough HTC has not announced its price as of now but it will be surely placed below HTC One V. So we can expect a price of about Rs. 15-17K in India. It will launched in Europe and Asia in coming few weeks (mid September).
