Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Karnataka telecom circle has revised its popular Mitra Plan for all its prospective 2G as well 3G customers across the state. The Karnataka Mitra Plan is basically a Friends & Family Plan that offers reduced calling to upto 5 numbers with the state.
The new Karnataka Mitra Plan would now cost Rs. 49 for the 2G customers & Rs. 79 for the 3G customers. Initially one would get 50 local minute to be consumed within 30 days and an initial tariff validity of 180 days. All Calls whether Local, STD & Roaming shall cost 1.2p per sec. Also you would get 100 Local SMS per month as freebies.
Now talking about the Friends & Family benefits. One can choose a total of 5 numbers of any network across Karnataka. The cost of calling on same network i.e. BSNL would cost 20p/min and for others it would cost 40p/min.
After 180 days, you need to recharge again with Plan Voucher 29 to continue enjoying the same benefits.
How to add/change Friends & Family (F&F) Number:
-The customers can choose the 5 Friends and Family numbers by sending SMS
FFE<space>1stnumber<space>2ndnumber<space>3rdnumber<space>4thnumber<space>5th number to 53733.
-The customers can change the Friends and Family numbers by sending SMS

It has been mandatory by TRAI in its NATIONAL CONSUMER PROTECTION REGULATION DATED -: 6th JANUARY 2012 THE FOLLOWINGS-
CHAPTER 3-:
7– Information to pre-paid consumers relating to usage.— Every
service provider shall, within forty five days ( amended to 75 days later ) from the date of issue of these
regulations, immediately on making any deduction from the account of a prepaid
consumer, provide through SMS, the following information:-
(a) after every call, —
(i) duration of the call;
(ii) charges deducted for the call;
(iii) balance in the account; and
(iv) in case of Special Tariff Voucher, minutes of usage deducted and
balance minutes of usage available;
(b) after every session of data usage over mobile, —
(i) quantum of data usage;
(ii) charges deducted; and
(iii) the balance in the account;
