After tasting mega success with Canvas 2, Micromax has come up with a new Canvas Device with a Quad Core Processor and HD Display, the Micromax Canvas HD A116. Mmicromax has not named it as Canvas 3 for reasons known to them only and it means we would definitely see the third iteration of the Canvas very soon.
Sporting the same 5 Inch Screen but with 720p HD Display, the Canvas HD A116 is powered by MediaTek MT6589 1.2 GHz Quad Core CPU with a dedicated GPU. More of its feature include 1GB RAM, 4GB Internal Storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD Card, 8 MP Shooter at the back with LED Flash and a Front facing VGA camera, standard connectivity features like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc, 2100 mAh battery and not to forget the Android Jelly (4.1) out of the box. Just like all other Android smart phones launched by Micromax till recently, Micromax Canvas HD A116 also comes with Dual SIM capabilities. Micromax has announced that it will be priced under Rs. 15,000 only and will be available starting next month (February) only. At this price, it will for sure sell like a hot little cake.
Micromax further announced their ambitious plans to take the Indian handset and tablet by storm by launching as many as 30 Smart Device this year. We would see more Canvas device being launched every other month and in the near future Micromax is planning to launch 4 tablets. So lets just wait and watch.
