Nokia today has announced the launch of a budget Windows phone for the Indian market, the Nokia Lumia 610. Along with this, Nokia also announced the Limited Edition Nokia Lumia 800 Dark Knight Rises for Rs.24,999. Many were expecting that Nokia would also launch the new flagship, Lumia 900 but it still remains unannounced.
Nokia Lumia 610 is prced at Rs. 12,999 in India and features Windows Phone 7.5 OS, 3.7 Inch Capacitive TFT Touch Display with a resolution of 800 X 480 pixels, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 7227A (WCDMA) 800MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 8GB Internal Storage, 5 MP camera with Auto Focus and LED flash, standard connectivity feature like Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth etc, 1,300 mAh Battery, aGPS, Nokia Apps like Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Nokia Transit, App Highlights, and more.
Since we all know that Microsoft has already announced Windows Phone 8, this phone cannot be upgraded to the latest iteration of the Windows Phone OS (8). Further it has no microSD card slot to expand is memory but is comes with SkyDrive cloud storage (upto 25GB). It will be soon available across the country in 4 colors – White, Black, Magenta and Cyan.
Nokia also announced a Limited Edition Dark Knight Rises Lumia 800 smartphone. Its features are identical to the original Nokia Lumia 800 with no changes. The Limited Edition smartphone has a Laser Etched Batman Logo at the back and Special Dark Knight Apps, Wall Papers, Ringtone, Trailer etc. preloaded to the phone. In case you want to buy one, Hurry as only 200 units of the Limited Edition Nokia Lumia 800 would make their way to the markets in India.
