MTS, the CDMA Mobile Operator of the Joint Venture Co. between Sistema of Russia & Shyam Group of India, is out with tariffs for their BalckBerry Smartphone Service. Under the tariff structure both Prepaid & Postpaid Plans has been launched. Also Only BlackBerry Handset purchased from MTS will work with MTS BlackBerry Service. MTS is offering BlackBerry Curve 8530 Smartphone as of now at Rs. 14, 900 (price Delhi).
Under Prepaid Plans, A Special Tariff STV would be required each month priced at Rs. 1175, giving 120 minutes daily for Local MTS, Other Local would be charged at 1/2p per sec. Also you would get talk time of Rs. 50 along with 30 days validity.
For Postpaid customers, the Monthly Rental has been fixed at Rs. 1175 along with 100 daily Local & National SMSes and 125 Mins Free for STD & Local calls.
BlackBerry smartphone services will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkatta initially.
