Micromax had last week announced a beautiful looking 8 Inch tablet which supports 3G calling as well, the Micromax Canvas Tab. Tough Micromax already have 3-4 tablets under Funbook branding, it is the first tablet under the Canvas branding and it looks premium and offers some extra features too.

It is now available for purchase at 3 famous Online Retailers – Flipkart.com, Snapdeal.com and Infibeam.com for about Rs. 16,500. Micromax Canvas Tab comes with 8 Inch Display that the iPad Mini made famous. Samsung too offers Galaxy Tab 3 with same screen size and earlier this month, Lava too announced a tab with 8 Inch Display, the Lava Xolo Tab.

Talking more about its features and specs, Micromax Canvas Tab features a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage (11.07 GB User Memory and 1.73 GB for Apps), microSD card support for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 5 MP rear camera with Auto-Focus but without Flash, 2MP front facing camera, 4800 mAh Li-Ion battery usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 42 Mbps HSDPA 3G connectivity, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, FM Radio with 3.5 mm Audio Jack.
