LG announces 8.3 Inch G Pad, packs Full HD Display, Quad Core processor and more

LG has today announced G Pad, an Android tablet with 8.3 Inch Full HD Display, Quad Core processor and more. This tablet has already leaked many times and was expected to be announced at IFA, Berlin just a few days from now but in an unexpected move LG decided to announce it before IFA, Berlin. Well this also marks re-entry of LG in to the tablet market, the last tablet launched by LG was Optimus Pad which was introduced more than 2 years ago in February 2011.

The full name of this new tablet is LG G Pad 8.3. It features Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, 8.3 Inch Full HD Display (1920x1200p resolution) with 273ppi, powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quad Core processor with Adreno 320 Graphics Unit, also it has 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, and 4600 mAh battery.

LG G Pad 8.3 measures 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.3mm and weighs 338g. Since LG has not mentioned anything about network connectivity, we are assuming it to be a Wi-Fi only tablet. LG might announce network enabled tablet at some later stage. LG G Pad 8.3 will come in 2 colors – Black & White.

Also the price of this new tablet has not been announced by LG. As per the official release, it will be available in Asia, Europe and North America later this year (Q4, 2013)
