Apple has finally unveiled the curtains from its much awaited next generation iPad today at San Fransisco. The new iPad has not been given any name like, iPad 3 or iPad HD as expected, its just the new iPad.
The new iPad is still the same 9.7 Inch but with better screen resolution featuring Retina Display (2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch), a new A5X processor with Quad Core Graphics Unit, a new Camera – iSight – the 5 MP Rear Camera, enhanced storage capabilities (upto 64GB), next generation of Radio support (upto 4G/LTE), Voice Dictation and most importantly upgraded iOS 5.1.
It will retail starting at $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB and $699 for 64GB (Wi-Fi only models). And for the 4G LTE models, $629, $729 and $829 for 16GB, 32GB & 64GB respectively.

Announced today, this new iteration of the iPad will rollout across 10 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands) on 16th March. Also beginning today, iPad 2 will be offered at an even more affordable price starting at just $399.
