Videocon Mobile Services, the mobile operator which has presence in just 7 circles after the November 2012 2G Auctions, has announced new Data Packs for its customers. A total of 6 Data Packs has been announced which offers more or less the same data that it used to offer but after other telecom operators revised their tariffs, these packs have suddenly become attractive.
Dubbed as SuperNet plans, these Data packs starts from Rs. 5 offering up to 35-60 MB 2G Data for a day. Similarly there are different 2G data packs for 3 Days, 7 Days, 21 Days, 28 Days and beyond offering different Data benefits depending upon the circle.
Update – September, 2013 – Videocon Telecom has now revised its Data Packs and after the revision now Videocon’s Data Tariff are at par with Data Tariff offered by other Operators. There are 3 New Data Packs introduced by Videocon Telecom – Rs. 76, Rs. 147 and Rs. 197 that offers 1 GB, 3GB and 1.5 GB data respectively with different validity duration. Videocon customers would also get Talk Time of Rs. 197 with STV 197 apart from Free Data.

*Rs. 197 Data Pack also offers Talk Time of Rs. 197 with validity of Life Time for Talk Time and above mentioned validity of Data Packs. One thing that comes out clear from the above analysis is that Videocon is offering more that Double Data in their 2G Data Packs as compared to the incumbent operators such as Idea, Airtel, Vodafone etc.
