Sony Mobile has today announced the launch of its Rugged Android smartphone, the Xperia M4 Aqua. Originally announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua as the name suggest comes with IP65 & IP 68 certifications that makes it Dust and Water resistance.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua comes with the Lollipop version of the Android, 5 Inch 720p HD Display, 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Octa Core (Quad-core 1.5 GHz + Quad core 1.0 GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage and expandable memory support up to 128GB. On imaging front, it has a 13 MP rear camera with auto focus and 4x digital zoom and a 5MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable is capable of shooting 1080p videos and has a Sony’s Exmor RS Sensor.
For connectivity, the Xperia M4 Aqua comes with aGPS, Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA Certified, NFC, GLONASS, Miracast, Native USB tethering, USB 2.0 and Micro USB support along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and WiFi Hotspot functionality.
Lastly to keep it on, Sony has included a 2400 mAh battery that according to company is capable of giving talk time of up to 13 hours 17 min and Standby time of up to 493 hours. The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua weighs just 135gms.
Sony Mobile has launched the Dual SIM version in India and the same has been priced at Rs. 24,990. It will be available very soon in 3 colors – White, Black, and Coral.
