One thing that we missed to report about yesterday’s IFA Event was the launch of Xperia branded tablet by Sony. Sony announced the much leaked tablet yesterday along with 3 smart phones. Dubbed as Xperia Tablet S, this new tab features 9.4 Inch HD Display with Low Friction Coating and would be available in both 3G and Wi-Fi options.

Sony Xperia Tablet S would be first launched in Europe in September and thereafter Globally. Here are some of the features of Sony Xperia S Tablet:

Sony has also introduced few new Apps for the Xperia Tablet S. The Xperia Tablet can control your other Audio Video equipment that use IR remote controllers. Guest Mode – similar to Guest User Login on your desktop or laptop that is perfect for sharing your tablet with children and friends. Sony’s Small Apps is more like a Multi Tasking tool that lets you make calculation, change channels, adjust volume etc. while working on other Apps as it is shown on top of the other apps that are running.

Sony Xperia Tablet S would be available starting from $399 for 16GB Wi-Fi Only version. The other Wi-Fi only 32GB and 64GB would retail at $499 and $599 respectively. Pre order for this new tablet would start soon.
