RIM selects India to unveil new Smartphone to the world, the Curve 9220


After a gap of several months, BlackBerry makers, the Research in Motion, has chosen India to unveil a new smartphone to the world, the Curve 9220. Priced at Rs. 10,990, this new Curve is essentially a successor the the famous Curve 8520. Also it becomes the first BlackBerry to be announced with a dedicated BBM key.

The new BlackBerry Curve 9220 is a 2G smartphone powered by the latest BlackBerry OS 7.1 and features a 2.44-inch QVGA screen with 320×240 resolution, a 2 MP fixed focus Camera at the back, inbuilt memory of 512 MB which is expandable upto 32GB, 512 MB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack and enhanced 1450 mAh battery that is capable of giving 7 hours of talk time or up to 28 hours of music playback or FM radio listening on headphones.
