Reliance Communications has silently launched a new Postpaid Plan dubbed as All Share for all its GSM and CDMA Postpaid customers across the country that has the features of a Family Plan. The All Share Postpaid Plan is similar to what Tata Docomo launched as MyFamily Plan last year. Under the new All Share Postpaid Plan, each subscribers would get a some Freebies which are Pooled together with all other members an a common bill is issued. Read on for more details.

The All Share 1497 is for minimum 3 members and comes with a monthly rental of Rs. 1497 (taxes extra) and offers 3000 Local & National SMS, 3000 Local & National Minutes and 3GB Data (2G or 3G for GSM depending upon the circle and 3.1Mbps EVDO for CDMA). You would require a minimum 3 members to avail the pooling benefits of the Freebies and a maximum of 10 member can be added. Also CUG calling among members of the same All Share Plan would be absolutely Free.

How it Works:
As you know, you need at least 3 members and each member would be charged Rs. 499 Monthly Rental, the initial bill would be Rs. 1497(plus taxes) and you would get 3000 Local & National SMS, 3000 Local & National Minutes and 3GB Data to be shared among the member of the group.

Now suppose, A uses just 500 SMS, B uses 1750 SMS and C uses 750 SMS, your bill won’t exceed the Monthly Bill as your Total Usage of the Group has not exceeded 3000 SMS. Similarly, it works for Calls and Data as well.

[Updated – 6th October] After the consumption of the Freebies(combined), you would be charged at flat rate of 1/2p/sec for all Local, STD & Roaming Calls. Post free usage, data usage charge of 1p/10kbps and SMS charge of 50p/SMS will be applicable. 1p/sec for All Local Calls and flat 1p/sec for All STD Calls and all Roaming Calls would cost you a flat 1p/sec. SMS Charges for all Local, National & Roaming SMS have been fixed at just 50p/SMS after the Free SMS are over.

Note : You would need minimum 3 members in the same account to continue enjoying the Pooling benefit else Pooling benefits will be withdrawn and the Data Speed would be downgraded to 2G Speeds. Also, for Blackberry users, existing BlackBerry data plan charges will apply additionally

So how it it different from Tata Docomo’s MyFamily Plan
Under the Tata Docomo’s MyFamily Plan you have fixed monthly rental of either Rs. 999 or Rs. Rs. 1999 and you should have at least 2 members and a maximum of 5. Also there are fixed amount of Freebies under both the plan for its users ( 2to5).

But under Reliance All Share Plan, when a new member is added to your Group/Account, it brings along 1000 SMS, 1000 Local & National Minutes and 1GB Data and these freebies are added to the existing freebies of the group.

[Update – 1st October, 2012] – Reliance has just now officially announced this new Postpaid Plan. As per the communication received, CUG Calling or Calls between member of the Group would be Unlimited FREE without any FUP or otherwise.
