For all those who are either cursing the TRAI for 100 SMS per day Limit or have purchased another SIM for sending SMSs, we have some good news. TRAI has made amendmends and issued a press release now permitting upto 200 SMS per day.

In its press release, TRAI said, “The Authority has received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The Authority has considered these representations and decided to increase the limit of one hundred SMS per day per SIM to two hundred SMS per day per SIM.

So it clearly means that TRAI has listened to the grievances that we were facing at large. This step would surely benefit the Student Community.
