Now its Videocon’s turn to announce 90% cut in GPRS Tariffs

Following the foot steps of incumbents, Videocon Mobile Service today announced reduction in the data tariffs by as much as 90%. Few days back, Vodafone triggered a data war by unleashing a steep tariff cut in default data browsing rates and within days all other operators like Airtel, Idea, Tata DOCOMO joined the race.

Videocon tariff cut is the most clean tariff cut as these are applicable for all the circles where they have commercial operations and also this tariff cut is applicable on consumption beyond the bundled benefits of the respective data packs. From now onwards, instead of being charged at 10p/10kb, Videocon subscribers would be charged at just 1p/10kb post their Data Package Limits.

This tariff cut is applicable for all Videocon subscribers in Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, where Videocon have commercial operations. Videocon is yet to start its services in UP & Bihar telecom circles. Also one thing that is worth mentioning here is that Videocon is as of now the only operator that offers FREE Incoming Calls on Roaming, when all other operators are busy launching free and discounted roaming tariffs.

This new data tariff will be applicable from first week of July, 2013 onwards.
