Nokia expands the Asha Touch Family, announces Dual SIM Asha 308 & Wi-Fi Asha 309

Nokia has today announced 2 new Asha series smart phones based on Series 40 Asha Touch User Interface, Asha 308 and Asha 309. Nokia has launched almost all Asha series phones in Single Sim as well as Dual SIM, so to carry on with this Asha 308 is launched with dual sim capabilities and the Asha 309 is a single sim version of the same with Wi-Fi as an additional feature.

As we have already told you that Asha 309 is a Single Sim version of the Asha 308, the rest of the features are almost the same. Both the Asha’s features a 3.0 Inch WQVGA Scratch Resistant Touch Display, 2MP Camera, 1110 mAh Battery, NO 3G Connectivity, standard connectivity features like Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and Wi-Fi (Only in Asha 309), 64MB RAM, microSD Card Slot supporting upto 32GB and more.

Nokia Asha 308 would come in 2 colors – Black and Light Golden whereas the Asha 309 would shine in Black and White only. Also in selected markets Nokia would launch the FM Radio with Recording as well.

The Dual SIM Nokia Asha 308 comes with Easy Swap Technology that allows users to change the SIM without powering OFF the mobile and remove battery etc. Also both the new Asha’s would come with a FREE 2GB Memory Card too.

Both the new Asha’s are expected to be priced at US$ 99 (Rs. 5500 approx.) excluding taxes etc and would be available in market starting the last quarter of the 2012.
