But today Nokia announced as premium handset that in the words of Nokia is a model that’s equally suitable for use as your main device or as a companion to your smartphone.
Meet Nokia 515, the phone whose body is crafted from a single piece of anodised, sandblasted aluminium and it is the first feature phone in this whole world to come with glass protection, the Gorilla Glass 2, that protects the curvy display of the Nokia 515. The keypad continues to ride the curve and is made from specially crafted hardened polycarbonate resin. The final result is a light weight (102.7g) beautiful feature phone which is just 11mm thick.
Nokia 515 will be launched in 2 versions – Single Sim & Dual Sim. The Dual SIM version comes with Nokia’s Easy Swap technology that lets to change the 2nd SIM card without pulling out the battery etc or without restarting your phone.
Other features on this beautiful device include 3G HSDPA support, 5 MP rear camera with LED flash that can take self potrait with voice command, 256 MB internal memory, microSD card support up to 32GB, Bluetooth 3.0, micro USB port supporting data transfer and charging, Series 40 OS, 2.4 Inch QVGA LCD 262k display, 3.5 mm Audio Jack and 1200 mAh battery.
The Nokia 515 will be available worldwide in Black and White and will begin shipping in the Q3, 2013 starting with Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Poland. It is expected to be priced somewhere around $149 or say Rs. 10,000 at today’s exchange rate.
