Loop Mobile introduces ‘Facebook on USSD’ that allows users to access their Facebook account without any GPRS or WAP subscription. It is available simply on USSD now.
Once subscribed you can update your Status, View Notifications, View News-Feeds, Add Friends & Check Messages.
It works on every handset, even your Nokia 1100 would do. One of the most interesting thing is it works in Roaming as well without any additional charges.
For both Prepaid & Postpaid customers, this service is available for Rs. 1 for the whole day. You can use Unlimited Facebook for 24 hours. To Subscribe, you need to dial *325# & in case you don’t like it, you can Unsubscribe by dialing *325*22#.
Other operators that are offering this service are Airtel, Aircel, and Tata Docomo & Idea.
[Update] As an introductory offer, you can enjoy Facebook on USSD free for the first 5 days. Thereafter the charges of Rs. 1 per day would apply. So let’s just enjoy facebooking..!!
