LG unveils the Optimus G, features 4.7 Inch Display with 2GB RAM and 13MP Camera

LG has today announced yet another Optimus series smartphone, the Optimus G. The whole last week was full of rumours and leaks related to this product and finally LG decided to unveil one of their best phones just a day before IFA.

LG Optimus G features the Snapdragon S4 Pro Chipset, which makes Optimus G world’s first phone to be powered by this chip. Tough it has all the necessary features that one would look for in a smartphone today, some of its main features are 4.7 Inch True HD IPS + Display, 2GB RAM and 13MP Camera.

As per the LG’s announcement, LG Optimus G would be launched next month in Korea as well as in Japan (with NTT Docomo). The global availability would be announced at a later date.

Just a couple of days ago, LG had announced that it has joined hands with other LG Group Companies viz. LG Chem, LG Display and LG Innotek to bring the ultimate battery capacity, viewing and user experience. LG Chem helped in building the battery that is 60% more efficient than the batteries available today, LG Display helped in building the True HD IPS+ Display and LG Innotek developed the G2 Touch Hybrid Display which is is thinner than current TSPs.

LG Optimus G also features Live Zooming that allows users to Zoom In and Zoom Out a video while viewing it and Dual Screen Dual Play that allow mirroring between the Optimus G and a TV Set.
