LG Optimus L5 coming to Europe this month, followed by CIS, Middle East and Asia

LG has today announced that its latest smartphone, the Optimus L5 from the Stylish L Series is launching in Europe this month only. The smartphone will be first made available in UK, Germany & France and gradually rolled in other markets. Interestingly, LG is launching this new smartphone with NFC “Tag & Play” (in Europe and North America) for mobile commerce and peer-to-peer sharing.

After its launch in Europe, it will be launched in CIS, Middle East & Asia. In these markets, the Optimus L5 will be coming with DUAL SIM instead of the NFC feature. LG had unveiled this new series of Stylish smart phone at MWC2012. The other smart phone from the same league, the Optimus L3 and Optimus L7 are already in sale in India. The Optimus L5 when launched is expected to be near Rs. 15,000 in India.

Just to remind you a bit about Optimus L5, it features 4 Inch Capacitive touchscreen supporting 320 x 480 pixels resolution, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 800Mhz Processor, 5MP Camera at back with AutoFocus and LED Flash and a secondary camera for Video Calling, 4 GB Internal Memory, 512 MB RAM, 32 GB External memory support, 1500 mAh battery and regular connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and more.
