To capitalize the success Lava has gained in the Indian market with its range of smart phone, Lava XOLO has jumped in the tablet market with the launch of XOLO Tab. Listed on XOLO’s official website, it has not been announced officially yet and therefore we do not have its price details.

Coming to its features, Lava XOLO Tab comes is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q processor with Adreno 203 Graphics Unit. Also it has 1GB RAM, 4 GB Internal Storage and a microSD card slot for expanding the storage. Inspired by iPad Mini, Lava XOLO comes with 8 Inch IPS Display but the resolution is just 768 x 1024 pixels (160ppi).

Lava XOLO Tab comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box which is a little disappointment. For Video Calling, it a VGA Front camera and a 2 MP rear camera. For connectivity it has microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot and GPS/aGPS & 3.5mm Audio Jack.

Lava XOLO Tab is 3G tablet that comes with a SIM card slot and offers 7.2Mbps 3G Connectivity. Weighing just 480 g, the dimensions of the XOLO Tab 214.2 X 154.9 X 11.3mm. Lastly comes the battery, it has a 4000 mAh Li-Po Battery that should be enough to power it for a day on moderate usage.

Update – Price of Lava XOLO Tab has now been announced at Rs. 13,499 and it is now available on Infibeam.com and available on Preorder on Flipkart.com. Lava has officially announced this tablet now.
