Apple has just now announced its latest iteration of the most successful smart phone of the world, the iPhone 5. In its 6th Generation, this smart phone has become taller and much faster. iPhone 5 is about 18% thin and 20 light than its predecessor. Most importantly the iPhone 5 sports a 4 Inch tall Multi Touch Retina Display that was the need of the hour. Pricing the iPhone 5 remains the same as iPhone 4S starting at $199 for 16GB model and so on.

Apple iPhone 5 was the most talked about smart phone in the recent months. In the recent past, we saw many leaks, rumours and much more about it, many of them materialized as well. The biggest feature that iPhone 5 has a taller display that stands at 4 Inch with same Retina Display tech. It has got a new Processor dubbed as A6 which Apple claims to be 2 times faster that the previous one.

Also its camera has got upgraded with features like Panorama added to it and more. Also it has got what i think is the Best Battery in any smart phone out there (except the MAXX Range from Motorola), as it play video continuously for 10 hours and allows 8 Hours of LTE Browsing and the same Talk Time a well.

Well there is alot more to talk about the new iPhone 5. Here are the Top 5 new Features Apple has improved upon or added:
1. Display
Almost every other smart phone on other Operating system now boast of more than 4 Inch Display and to fullfil the desire of many of the Apple Fans across the world, Apple decided to upgrade the iPhone 5 with 4 Inch Retina Display with 1136 x 640 pixels resolution at 326ppi. Amazing isn’t it..!! The 4 Inch Retina Display on iPhone 5 gives you 18% more pixels than the iPhone 4S. The new iPhone 5 screen would have a fifth row in place and maintains the 16:9 aspect ratio as well.

2. Camera
Tough Apple has not changed much about its camera, but still there are features that should not be ignored. The iPhone 5 comes with the same 8 MP iSight Camera and a 1.2 MP FaceTime Camera. The Gyroscope, A6 chip, and Camera app work together to create one seamless, high-resolution Panorama up to 28 Mega Pixels.

The Primary Camera of iPhone 5, the iSight Camera is capable of 1080p HD Video Recording and the front camera can take 720p Video. The camera is now 40 percent faster in capturing photos and has better low-light performance, and improved noise reduction as well. Also you can take photos while recording the video there and then only.

3. Processor and LTE
The new iPhone 5 comes with A6 Chip inside that is about 2 times faster than the chip on iPhone 4S both in terms of Graphics and Processing and which is about 22 per cent smaller as well. Also the Phone 5 support high speed data connectivity with LTE on board with speeds upto 100 Mbps.

4. Battery and Connector
The new iPhone comes with a remarkably improved battery life that can give other popular smart phone a run for their money. Apple claims that the iPhone 5 can have 225 hours of standby, 8 hours of LTE Browsing, 8 hours of continuous talking on 3G network and amazing 40 music playback along with 10 hours of Videos. Now that really amazing as none of the present smart phone can meet this.

Also from now onwards, instead of a regular 30 Pin Connector, Apple would ship a small 8 Pin connector. Apple has named it as Lightning. Many you must be wondering what would happen to your 30 Pin accessories like car charges and all, so for all of you Apple has introduced a 30 Pin to 8 Pin converter as well.

5. iOS 6 and Pricing
Starting with iPhone 5, the most advanced mobile operating system would take over. It has about 200 new features that its previous version. It has Apple Maps (let me call it), Siri we are familiar with now and much more.

Finally the pricing, to stay competitive Apple has decided keep its pricing same as iPhone 4S at $199 for 16GB model, $299 for 32GB model and $399 for a 64GB model. At this very competitive pricing, this would for sure turn many heads around.

Pre Order and Shipping
Pre order for the iPhone 5 would start from 14th September across US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and UK with 21st September set as shipping data. Also on , iPhone 5 would reach Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland on 28th September, just a week after world launch.

Update : The iPhone 4S would now be avilable for $99 with contract and iPhone 4 FREE. iPhone 3GS would no longer be available.
