Exclusive : Idea hikes Postpaid Tariffs in Delhi NCR

Idea Cellular has hiked the Postpaid Tariffs in the Delhi Telecom Circle by a minimum of 20%. All Postpaid Plans in the Delhi circle being offered by Idea now stands Updated on their website showing the Revised Tariffs. For Per Second Pulse lovers, now the minimum call per second would be 1.2p/sec instead of 1p/sec earlier.

Idea offers both Per Minute & Per Second Pulse Plans for customers in Delhi circle. Earlier the Local & STD Calls for Per Second Subscribers were 1p/sec which has now been revised to 1.2p/sec. For Per Minute Subscribers, if Local & STD Calls tariffs were 50p/min, now they stands at 60p/min.

I’ll give you an example of our writer, Farhad Ahmed, who is using Plan 249 Combo. His monthly rental is Rs. 249 (plus Tax) and he gets 400 Local/National Minutes, 400 Local/National SMS & 1GB Data Usage Free. After the consumption of Freebies, he is charged 30p for Idea Numbers, 40p for Other Network & 50p for Landline, all these rates are for Local Calls only. For STD Calls, he is being charged flat 50p irrespective of the Operator etc. SMS charges are flat 20p for both Local & National SMS.

Now the same Plan has been revised & renamed New Combo 249, that offers the same freebies but the call rates are like this now, 40p for Idea Local, 50p for Other Local, 60p for Landline Local & for STD Calls flat 60p/min. Also the SMS charge after the consumption of freebies, has been hiked 100& from 20p per SMS to now 40p per SMS.
