Huawei has today announced the launch of world’s first Data Card cum Router in India named as Huawei E355 that functions both as a data card for a single user and as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting upto five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Huawei has been a leader in Data Card world over, all most every Indian Data Operator (Reliance, MTS, Tata) have Data cards supplied by Huawei and it has some of the best open Data cards as well.
The Huawei E355 has been developed for Small Offices and Homes. It can provide High Speed Data connectivity providing HSPA+ 21 Mbps Download and 5.76Mbps Upload speeds. You can use it by plugging it to your Laptop and allowing others to share the Data via W-Fi and you can even plug it into an electricity socket and enjoy the data connectivity via Wi-Fi. The Huawei E355 Wi-Fi Router offer users the flexibility of powering with a variety of USB chargers, offering true on-the-go connectivity.
Huawei E355 Price in India is Rs. 5,499 but it is available at Flipkart.com for just Rs. 3,200.
I personally liked the new Data card but it already has a competitor in the market in the form of Micromax MMX400R which is a Modem cum Router with 1500 mAh Battery that can give up to 4-5 hours of data connectivity while Huawei E355 donot have any battery. Also Micromax MMX400R is priced at just around Rs. 2400.
How can you use the Huawei E355.
Option 1 – (Normal USB Modem): Connect with PC and access Internet for only one device
Option 2 – (Mobile Wi-Fi with PC): Connect with PC/laptop, activate WiFi and access internet
Option 3 – (Independent Mobile Wi-Fi): Connect with any USB Power adaptor and start using it as a WI-Fi Hotspot.
