Starting with good news, the Nexus 4 has been given a price cut of 25% by Google. Now available starting $199 (US) for an 8GB model, this year old smart phone now is back in the race. Apart from US, Google Play has announced similar cut for 7 more countries – UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, France and South Korea.
Just to remind you about Google Nexus 4, it features 4.7 Inch WXGA (1280 x 768) True HD IPS Plus Display, 1.5 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 8 MP Primary Camera with LED Flash and 1.3 MP Secondary Camera, 8GB/16GB Internal Storage options, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, NFC (Android Beam), Bluetooth, 2,100 mAh battery and latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In India, the Nexus 4 is not available from Google Play store tough it is available on Flipkart.com for Rs. 25,990. We might not get the advantage of this price cut here in India because Our currency (INR) has depleted in value in last couple of weeks and at present 1$ is worth Rs. 67 (approx.)
The second major news coming from Google Play store is related to the Nexus 7 tablet. The new Nexus 7 (2013) is now available in 5 more countries including Japan which is the first Asian country to get it. The other four countries are – Germany, UK, Spain & France. As of now only the Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7 is available in the above mentioned countries.
