Free Incoming Calls on Roaming – Operator wise Special Tariff Voucher (STV) details

With the recent order of TRAI to offer FREE and Discounted Incoming Calls on Roaming, almost operators have launched Special Tariff Vouchers offering the same. Now a occasional traveller can enjoy FREE Incoming call on Roaming with Rs. 5 STV that comes with a days validity. Here we have compiled the list of STV offered by different operators across India.

Since Airtel was the first one to introduce these Roaming STV, we would start with Airtel only. Airtel offers Free Incoming Calls on Roaming for just Rs. 5 for a day and for Rs. 79, you can enjoy FREE Incoming Calls for 30 days. You can head over to official Airtel’s Roaming Page to know more.

After Airtel many opertor started rolling out their plans, but in our list Idea would be second. Initially Idea rolled out Special Tariff Vouchers with 6 months validity which are priced at around Rs. 250. But after few days, we noticed that Idea too launched Rs. 5 voucher offering Free Incoming Calls in Roaming with a validity of a day. Unlike Airtel, Idea’s voucher price differs from circle to circle, you can check them on this page (please select you Circle).

Vodafone have almost identical STVs like Airtel, starting with Rs. 5 for a days pack and about Rs. 75 (depending upon circle) for a monthly package. Head over to this page and select your circle to know the exact price of STV for your location.

Reliance too joined the race silently by updating its website with these vouchers, without officially announcing them. Unlike the big two, Airtel and Vodafone, Reliance offers its customers to choose from daily, monthly and half yearly packs. The half yearly pack is similar to a pack that Reliance launched way back for Selected circles. Please head over to this page to know exact price of STV for your circle. Reliance is already offering a promotional STV for CDMA customers offering FREE Incoming Calls on Roaming for almost no cost.

Next in line is the State owned BSNL, it too offers Free Incoming Calls in Roaming for Rs. 5 for a day and Rs. 69 for a monthly package ( may differ from circle to circle). BSNL is already offering Roam FREE Prepaid Plan priced at Rs. 199 that offers FREE Incoming Calls on Roaming for 6 months.

MTNL Mumbai too have launched Special Tariff Vouchers to offer Free and discounted Roaming Calls. Unlike all other operators, MTNL Mumbai is offering a Free Incoming STV for Rs. 9 that comes with a validity of 2 days and for Rs. 75 one can enjoy Free Incoming Calls for a month.

Next in line is the Mumbai’s oldest telecom operator, Loop Mobile. Loop have launched 2 Plan, Roam India Plan for discounted tariff and Super Roam India Plan for FREE Incoming Calls. Check more details in the table below or head over to this page.

The remaining operators, Tata DOCOMO, MTNL Delhi, Uninor and MTS are still to launch Special Tariff Vouchers for the same. Tough Tata DOCOMO and MTNL Delhi have launched Prepaid Plans but STV are still are missing.
