DataWind has today announced the launch of 2 new Android Gingerbread tablets, Ubilslate 7+ & Ubislate 7C at a price of Rs. 2,999 & Rs. 3,999 respectively. Ubislate is actually a retail version of the popular world’s cheapest Aakash tablet launched last year.

Ubislate 7+ & Ubislate 7C differs only in terms of Display Quality & Internal Memory as 7+ has a resistive touch display & internal memory of 2GB whereas 7C sports a Capacitive display & has a internal memory of 4GB.

Here are the other salient features of the Ubisalte 7+ as well as Ubilate 7C. Both the tablets are powered by Cortex A8, 700 Mhz Processor with HD Video Co Processor and features 256 MB RAM, External storage upto 32GB Supported, 2 Standard USB Ports (Ver. 2.0), 3.5mm jack, 7″ Display with 800×480 pixels, Connectivity with GPRS & WiFi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g, Battery support of upto 180 minutes of battery, AC adaptor 200.240 volts and with Android OS 2.3 on board. Also you can use these tablets for Voice Calling as it has a SIM slot.

Both the tablets with come with 1 year manufacturer warranty. DataWind has also tied with Aircel to provide to provide GPRS/Internet at Rs. 98 per month. Also recently DataWind tied up with many firms for content like Yahoo India, Getjar and the Indian Express.
