MTNL launches Fibre to the Home, 1000Mbps Broadband Service


MTNL, the state run PSU Telecom Operator, has today announced the launch of Fibre to the Home(FTTH) Broadband Service offering speed of upto 10 Gbps in Mumbai. MTNL Fibre to the Home Broadband Service will be launched in Delhi from 1st May, 2011. With the launch of FTTH technology, MTNL will offer High Speed Broadband Service of upto 10 Gbps and world class Triple Play (voice-video-data) services like IPTV, HDTV, 3DTV,  Bandwidth on Demand, Video conferencing , Gaming and other interesting VAS which can be possible with the help of FTTH only. MTNL revises its tariff for Broadband and VDSL Connections


MTNL has revised its tariff for Casual / Temporary Broadband and VDSL  Connections for its customers in Delhi. Temporary or Casual Broadband connections are for those who don’t want broadband as a regular option. Now, 512Kbps/ 1Mbps Causal connection would cost Rs. 1200 for a period of minimm 3 days and for any additional day Rs. 500 per day would pe charged. Likewise, 1Mbps/2Mbps Causal connection would cost Rs. 2000 for a period of minimm 3 days and for any additional day Rs. 800 per day would pe charged & 1Mbps/4Mbps Causal connection would cost Rs. 3500 for a period of minimm 3 days and for any additional day Rs. 1200 per day would pe charged. MTNL revises VDSL Broadband Plan, VDSL Combo 4999


MTNL has revised the tariffs for its VDSL Broadband plan named, VDSL Combo  4999 in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles. This plan offers download speed ranging between 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps. The monthly charges are Rs. 4,999 and the download limit has been revised from 20 Gb per month to 50 Gb now. Also,the additional data charges of 20 paise per MB have been revised to 10 paise per MB for 51 GB upto 120 GB, and 5 paise per MB beyond 120 GB usage. MTNL Triband, Delhi has launched a new Prepaid Broadband plan for Rs. 100 under the name “PP LUC Plan”. To active this plan you need to buy a voucher priced at Rs. 100 that would be valid for 30 days & allow data usage of 200 MB at the speed of 2MBPS. The Super Value 199 Plan has a monthly rental of Rs. 199 and offers freebies worth Rs. 650 in the form of Rs. 150 calling value, 400 Local SMS, 400 STD SMS and also 100MB of data download. The pulse for the plan is one minute. After your free calling value would be over, you would be charged 20p per min on MTNL Network (DELHI & MUMBI) for both voice & video calls. Other local calls would be charged at 50p per minute for both voice & video calls. But in case of STD, you would be charged at Rs 60p in case of voice calls & Rs 75p in case of video calls.
