After successfully launching the NESAM plan for its subscribers in Tamil Nadu, BSNL has now launched migration voucher for existing customers to migrate to the Nesam Plan. The migration voucher is priced at Rs. 198 and comes with NIL Talktime along with 180 days validity. The migrated customer will be governed by all terms and conditions related to validity, F&F etc., as applicable to NESAM Plan only.
According to K. Balasubramanian, General Manager, BSNL Tirunelveli Telecom District, BSNL introduced a new prepaid cell phone plan ‘Nesam’ from March 18, by which the customers can talk at a lower tariff to any five telephone numbers of any service provider. Following heavy demand from other BSNL customers having other prepaid plans to allow them to switch over to this new ‘Nesam’ Plan, BSNL has decided to permit the migration of other prepaid plans to ‘Nesam’ Plan from April 8.
This voucher can be used only on C-Top up and validity of the eligible customer on migration to ‘Nesam’ will be for 180 days irrespective of current validity. After the initial validity period of 180 days, monthly recharge condition of ‘Nesam’ Plan will be applicable.
The existing ‘Friend and Family (F & F)’ numbers in the old plan will not be carried forward to the new plan and hence the customer has to re-register the five new numbers by sending SMS to 53733 as registering for the new F&F. These five F&F can be any five telephone, WLL and cellphone numbers, including that of any private operators from Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Chennai city. Similarly any chosen number can also be changed by sending the message ‘FFM Old Number New Number’ to 53733. On migration, the talk value available in the old plan will also be carried over to the new plan. Existing booster / STV cards or coupons activated while in the old plan will be valid on migration also.
Customers who migrate to ‘Nesam’ Plan will be provided with all the features of ‘Nesam’ Plan. All the existing 2G customers of Saral Anant (3 options), General Plans (3 options), Excel Anant, New Excel Anant, Excel Student, Tamil Nadu Anant, New Tamil Nadu Ananth, Kurinji, Wonder & Wonder Plus, En-Nanban, En-Nanban Super, Mega Super, Vasantham, Anbu Jodi, and 3G customers of 3G general 120 are eligible to use this migration voucher, Mr. Balasubramanian said.
