Asus announces its Selfie Phone, the ZenFone Selfie with 13 MP Front Camera with Dual LED Flash

Asus has finally unwrapped its latest smartphone, the Asus ZenFone Selfie at the ongoing Computex 2015 in Taiwan. Asus has now joined HTC which launched a similar phone, the Desire Eye some time last year. Asus ZenFone Selfie as the name suggest has been designed primarily for the Selfie Generation and comes with a Toshiba image Sensor.

The other specifications of this smartphone includes a 5.5 Inch Full HD 1080p IPS LCD display with Coring Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa Core processor (1st generation) along with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB/4GB RAM, option of 16/32/64GB Storage, Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI and 3000 mAh battery.

Coming back to its main feature, the 13MP Camera at the front and the back with Dual LED Flash, Asus has this time chosen Toshiba for the sensors and ZenFone Selfie comes with 13 MP Toshiba Image Sensors both at the front and the rear of the phone. The camera at the front features f/2.2 aperture with Dual LED Flash and offers 88 degree wide angle for the selfies.

The Camera at the rear features f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash too. Apart from this, the ZenFone Selfie features laser autofocus at both the rear as well as the back. We have already seen this technology in the earlier Zen Phone range and the latest LG’s flagship smartphones. Further there is a presence of PixelMaster technology on both the cameras.

According to Asus, the phone will be available in 7 Colors – Pure White, Chic Pink, Aqua Blue, Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray and Glamor Red. Full details regarding its availability and price would be revealed at a later stage.
