Vodafone India has yesterday announced the reduction the default charges for 2G Data/GPRS customers by up to 80%. And within a day of such announcement by Vodafone, Airtel too announced the same reduction by about 90% for its customers. But this reduction will not have any affect on many of us as this reduction is for default charges.

There is no change is any pack rates or price rather Vodafone has just reduced the charges for non Data Pack/Plan subscribers or you can say Pay As You Go customers who do not subscribe to any data pack and uses the internet on their phones. As of now this reduction is for Karnataka, UP West and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circles only and will be gradually rolled to other states as well.
