• Why does Aircel not provide such good offers in TN & Chennai???

  The reason is it has a really HUGE customer base in TN, and Aircel believes it's unbeatable. Many are porting out of Aircel now, as there is no useful plans in Aircel.
  I must accept that they provide lots of full talk time offers in TN and they r useful, but there are no useful rate cutters.

  Rate Cutters are mainly on monthly basis not for 6 months or an year... Rate cutters of denominations Rs 35, 49, 57... till Rs 99 provide reduced call rates just for a month, and for 3 months one has to put Rs 121 or above, so there'll be no benefit for avg users. The reduced call rates is in min pulse and that too not attractive for calls made to other N/Ws.

  The case of SMS plans is even bad, RS 33 for 10000 loc SMS (no nat'l), an avg user will need just around 1000 odd smses per month, no plans for that. Next comes a beautiful plan for STD SMS @ Rs 34, it provides just 300 Nat SMSes, keep in mind only nat and no loc SMSes, so for nat+loc, one has to spend RS 67....

  Roaming plans comes next, Travel packs provide incoming @ 60P/min, OG to Loc Aircel @ 60p and all other @ 80p/min in roamin.. But when we move into Travel pack, our base plan is itself changed, so local/std calls to other n/ws become 60p/min by default... And for this I've to spend more than 90 bucks.... Now that Aircel has n/w s all over India, they shud also reduce roaming charges like Docomo n BSNL...

  USELESS plans... It's time to move on to other N/W s in TN...
