Videocon Mobile today announced the launch of another Android smart phone, the Videocon A42. Packing a 4.5 Inch Display with a Dual Core processor, the Videocon A42 has been priced at Rs. 7,490.
As per the press release issued by the company, the new Videocon A42 would pack a 4.5 Inch Multi-Touch Capacitive FWVGA Display, 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Processor with 512MB RAM, 4 GB of Internal Space and microSD card support up to 32GB. On the Imaging front, it has a 5 MP rear camera with Flash and a 1.3 MP camera at its front. Further it comes preloaded with Android Jelly Bean 4.2, have standard connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 802.11b/g/n, A2DP Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. Videocon A42 is powered by a 1700 mAh Li-ion Battery and comes with FM Radio with Recording and has a 3.5mm Jack Head. Also it has G sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Proximity Sensor
One thing that has been highlighted in the press release issued is 3.75G support (UMTS/WCDMA/HSPA 2100MHz). Like many of the smartphone available in the market, this too comes with Dual Sim with Dual Standby. Videocon A42 would be available in 2 colors – White Chrome & Black.
